Arctic Monkeys (UK)

The word “phenomenon” would best describe the explosion on the 2006 music scene from one of the hottest acts to come along in many years. Four teenagers from Sheffield, England, who received their first guitars for Christmas 2002, burst onto the scene with their debut CD, Whatever People Say I Am, That’s What I’m Not. Within a day of its release, the album sold 118,501 copies in the U.K., setting a record for more CD’s sold than the rest of the Top 20 album chart -- combined. Their CD is now in the top 5 selling records of all time in England, sitting alongside The Beatles’ Revolver.
Guitarist Jamie Cook has all of Visual Sound’s pedals on his pedal board. Nigel Reeks, the guitar tech for the band said, “An hour later after playing with the pedals, Jamie came to see me with a massive smile on his face and asked me to make a bigger pedalboard so he can fit all 3 pedals on” .
Visual Sound salutes the tenacity and determination of the Arctic Monkeys and is proud to be a part of their unique sound and incredible achievements
